Maris invites esteemed JRE chefs to embark on exclusive cultural expedition cruises aboard Swan Hellenic's luxurious designer ships, SH Vega and SH Diana. These celebrated chefs will take guests on a parallel voyage of gastronomic discovery, exploring their renowned culinary creativity fueled by a passion for tradition, sustainability, and quality local ingredients.

Barcelona, Spain - May 23, 2023 - Joining the Maris initiative is Chef Manu Núñez, a Spanish chef and member of JRE-Jeunes Restaurateurs, renowned for his innovative approach to regional cuisine. Chef Manu Núñez, hailing from the restaurant Besta in Barcelona, Spain, will be part of the Maris journey, embarking on the Swan Hellenic SH Vega for a 12-day gastronomic exploration at sea.

Having honed his skills in worldwide kitchens, Chef Manu Núñez's culinary journey has taken him across diverse culinary landscapes, including England, Germany, Luxembourg, and Sweden. His time in Stockholm, where he worked at esteemed restaurants such as Gastrologik, Ekstedt, and Nook, added a Nordic influence to his culinary repertoire. In 2021, he partnered with Chef Carles Ramon to open two restaurants in Barcelona, Besta and Batea, where they showcase exquisite regional cuisine with a twist.

From May 23 to June 3, 2023, Chef Manu Núñez will go onboard the SH Vega with his culinary excellence as it sails from Portsmouth to Dublin. Throughout this period, guests will have the pleasure of indulging in Chef Manu's signature dishes and a specially curated menu designed to delight the most discerning palates during a spectacular Gala Dinner.

Moreover, Chef Manu Núñez will entertain guests with a captivating cooking show and lead gastronomic excursions ashore, providing an opportunity to explore local culinary traditions and specialties. Guests will have the privilege of immersing themselves in the local cultures, partaking in activities such as hunting, fishing, farming, and foraging, all while benefiting from the expert perspective of world-famous chefs.
