LUNCH AT THE DYSART PETERSHAM FOR THE EURO-TOQUES YOUNG CHEF OF THE YEAR COMPETITION
Euro-Toques Young Chef of the Year competition, Ireland’s premier cooking competition for professional young chefs announces the 6 contestants selected for 2023 finals in October.
Welcoming the participation of our JRE chef Head judge Paolo Casagrande of three-star Lasarte Restaurant in Barcelona, the finals of the Young Chef of The Year Competition presented by La Rousse Foods will be held on Sunday 8th October at the Michelin starred restaurant The Dysart Petersham, also from our JRE chef Kenneth Culhane. With him leading the team, the young chefs are in for a real treat.
From now to the final round in October, the six finalists will embark on a journey that will include several educational activities, producers visits and participation in some of Ireland’s key events. On the cards, an inspirational trip to West Cork, visiting inspiring producers and chefs, including a masterclass with legendary wild fish smoker Sally Barnes of Woodcock Smokery, an exclusive dinner at 2 Michelin-star dede in Baltimore prepared by Chef Ahmet Dede and his team and a day filled with activities with Brown Envelope Seeds, Lisheen Greens and Fingal Ferguson of Gubbeen, including a tour of the cheese factory, the smokehouse and his exclusive knives workshop.
