Hotel
Aleia is located on the first floor of the elegant Casa Fuster Hotel on Passeig de Gracia which is steeped in history and recognised in Barcelona and throughout Spain. The building was designed by the modernist architect Domenech i Muntaner when the Catalan businessman Mr Mariano Fuster wanted to gift a house to Miss Consuelo Fabra i Puig, daughter of the Marquis of Alella, hence the name Aleia Restaurant.
The work was completed in 1911, making it the most expensive building constructed at that time. In 2004 it was refurbished, transforming it into a monumental, five-star, art deco-style luxury hotel, preserving the original grandeur of the original construction. The hotel is located on Passeig de Gracia, the most elegant avenue in Barcelona, famous for its luxury boutiques and Gaudi's buildings.
