Walserstuba’s cuisine
At Walserstuba you can choose from various menus, including an Alpine surprise menu, and à la carte options. The restaurant’s “Önsche Walser Chuche'' menu is based on local ingredients that were already available back in the 19th century. One dish you should definitely try is chef Riezler’s crusted roast of organic pork belly. In addition to the four cozy dining rooms, there’s also a “Chuchedisch”: the Wals’ version of a chef’s table, for up to 4 people. Here, you can enjoy a surprise menu with beverages from your front-row seat, with a fantastic view of all the kitchen action. The wine list mainly includes exciting Austrian labels but also features exclusive vintages from Italy, Switzerland, Spain, and France. When it comes to house wines, the restaurant offers outstanding options such as a Grüner Veltliner from Stift Göttweig in Kremstal, and a Blauer Zweigelt from the Kartäuserhof in Wachau. Of course, non-alcoholic options, such as organic fruit juices, are also available.
