Chef Mathijs Jacobs already knew what he wanted to become from a young age. He inherited his passion for cooking from his mother and studied at the hotel management school, where he got to intern with chef Nico Boreas at Castle Erenstein. After his studies, he worked at restaurants like Onder De Boompjes, Hof van Deurne, and Valuas. In 2013, Mathijs was ready for the next step in his career and he opened restaurant De Beejekurf in Venray.
