Jure TomičAfter his culinary studies, Jure started participating in several gastronomic festivals, author's cuisine congresses and competitions, where he always looks for new challenges to prepare unique dishes and unforgettable experiences in his family restaurant Debeluh. Here, Jure has turned the traditional Balkan grill into haute cuisine. In addition to being an excellent chef, Jure is also a top-notch sommelier. In 2010, he represented Slovenia at the European Championships in Strasbourg, where he was named Slovenian champion.

Restaurant Debeluh is known for its extraordinary gourmet dishes with the signature of chef Jure Tomič, which have become a constant in the offer. The à la carte menu, as well as the tasting menus, are adjusted seasonally, and you can choose from 4-, 6-, and 8-course menus. Different dishes differ depending on the chef's current inspiration and the fresh, seasonally available local ingredients. Debeluh has one of the best wine lists in this region of Slovenia, offering as many as 350 labels. The wine list evenly represents all three wine regions of Slovenia with all the most recognizable Slovenian winemakers. Included are Dular, Simčič, Movia, Radikon, Burja Estate, Celtic, as well as some international labels. Sommelier Jure's culinary masterpieces are perfectly paired with his wine to create the ultimate dining experience for even the most discerning gourmet.
Debeluh’s ambiance
The contemporary interior at restaurant Debeluh has a modern ambiance but still feels warm and inviting. The walls are decorated with soft colors and flowered wallpaper, complementing the artful dishes created by the chef. Close to the restaurant you will find Brežice Castle, a historic site from the 12th century with incredibly beautiful decorations and several art exhibitions.
