Alexander HerrmannIn 1995, he became head chef at the "Posthotel Alexander Herrmann" in Wirsberg, Franconia, which has been in the family since 1869. In 1997, he was accepted into the circle of the Jeunes Restaurateurs d'Europe Section Germany, of which he was President from 2007 to 2010.

AURA (2 Michelin stars): a completely new and exciting form of creative, regional gourmet cuisine. Under the motto "boundless homeland", regional foods are used consistently. Even exotic ingredients that are not typically associated with Franconia at first glance. Supposedly exotic ingredients from regional cultivation open up almost limitless culinary possibilities. Traditionally close to home and innovatively cosmopolitan at the same time. Creative, unpretentious, exciting and without airs and graces. With a dramaturgy of temperatures, consistencies, cooking methods and flavors. Bistro ''oma&enkel'': Purist, modern version of "Best of Franconia" home cooking. Surprising, authentic and uncomplicated. Seasonal specials such as the classic "whole goose" or "whole duck" are just as much a part of the bistro cuisine as the Franconian tapas and the local menu.

Restaurant Posthotel Alexander Herrmann is located in the town of Wirsberg, in Bavaria. There are many reasons why travelers love the Bavaria region: the gourmet cuisine, the beer, the good Franconian wine, the Bavarian dialect, the lovely landscape right before the Alps. In the Franconia region, small walled towns with historic townscapes, like Rothenburg ob der Tauber, attract visitors to take a tour. The nearby city of Munich, the capital of Bavaria, is popular for its many beer gardens, the Hofbräuhaus, and in autumn the world-famous Oktoberfest. Last but not least: at the highest point of the federal state, the 2963-meter-high Zugspitze, you can enjoy breathtaking views over the Alps.
