Hotel restaurant Domaine du Châtelard’s kitchen is in hands of chef Ivan Gotfredsen. This young Danish cook began as an apprentice in the Michelin-starred restaurant La Fleur de Lys (Fribourg, Switzerland). After working at several different establishments in Switzerland, Ivan became head chef at Kempinski Grand Hôtel des Bains (St Moritz): a 5-star hotel with 6 restaurants. The chef oversaw the opening of multiple top-class restaurants throughout Europe and then decided to make his return to Switzerland. Here, Ivan worked at the Tschuggen Grand Hotel – but it didn’t take long until he fell in love with the idea of opening his own restaurant. After seeing Domaine du Châtelard, Ivan lost his heart to the stunning property in Dirac. And in 2009, his dream finally came true: together with his partner, he opened his very own hotel and restaurant in the French countryside.
