Chef Andreas Widmann’s family has been running their gourmet restaurant Widmann's Löwen for over 200 years now. Now, Andreas is the eighth generation to continue the family tradition. He completed his training as a cook with chef Michael Oettinger in Oettinger’s Restaurant in Fellbach-Schmiden. After that, he went on to work with chef Steffen Mezger at restaurant Atelier (Hotel Bayerischer Hof, Munich). In 2010 Andreas was named Germany's best young chef. After having lived in New Zealand for a while, Widmann returned to his family’s hotel restaurant in Zang. His parents handed over the business to him in 2016. At Widmann's Löwen, he beautifully showcases his high-end Swabian cooking. Together with his wife Anna, the chef treats diners to excellent gastronomy that’s not only tasty but sustainable and healthy as well.
