A former top chef who now runs his family’s establishment
After working at top restaurants in Basel and Vienna, former chef Christian Ottenbacher ended up in some of the best restaurants in Barcelona, New Orleans, and Cleveland. Together with his spouse Dory, he then took over hotel and restaurant Adler Asperg, making him the fourth generation to run this family establishment. As a chef at Adler Asperg, Christian Ottenbacher created his renowned cuisine: a mix of Swabian specialties and Spanish tapas. As a result, his tried and tested regional dishes with a modern, international twist were awarded a Michelin star. Although owner and hotel director Christan no longer works as a chef in the kitchen, he still has a nose for good food and kitchen talent. And this shows as the hotel’s restaurants and brasserie are still very much a beloved hotspot for food connoisseurs.
I like how everything is becoming more casual and less stiff in upscale gastronomy.
