An award-winning chef with a passion for foreign flavours
One thing chef Benjamin Maerz doesn’t like doing is sticking to old patterns. He’s continuously inspired by international flavours and always strives to develop himself, as well as his cooking, even further. Picking up his love for gastronomy from his parents, Benjamin studied food management while working at his parents' hotel kitchen. This meant a lot of early mornings at university and a lot of late evenings in the restaurant. These were challenging times for the young chef. But hard work always pays off. And in 2013, chef Benjamin received his first Michelin star for his restaurant Maerz, which was then known as restaurant Rose.
Home is not a place. Home is a feeling.
