A talented chef de cuisine with a passion for sustainability & creative regional cuisine

Chef de cuisine Viktoria Fuchs got introduced to the hotel business during her childhood as her mother and father were the owners of the Spielweg Romantik Hotel. Viktoria started her culinary journey as a cook in restaurant Hirschen, after which she interned at restaurants Adler, Poletto, and Dorint Söl'ring Hof. As a young chef, she continued her career again at Hirschen, as well as at Hamburg's Le Canard and Naurath-Wald's Landhaus St. Urban. After working two years as chef de partie at Luce D'oro in Hotel Schloss Elmau, she returned to her parents' restaurant Spielweg in 2016.

A kitchen team is like a family. Everyone takes care of the other. In the end, you need to be there with love, otherwise the product and the guest will notice.

This rustic hotel restaurant is run by Viktoria Fuchs, who is the sixth generation to lead this cozy inn that dates back to 1705. Inside, the restaurant's dining rooms are decorated in Black Forest-style. The seasonal and classic cuisine features hints of Asian influences.
